Here are 20 of my favourite handmade gifts for boys. Want more inspiration? Take a look at my Handmade Gifts for Boys Pinterest Board.
Fort Kit
I cannot wait until the boys are old enough for one of these! I would have loved this as a kid…heck, I’d love it now!
Lego Belt
I love this accessory meets toy. It’s subtle enough that it just looks like a belt buckle, but then you realise it’s Lego!
Guitar Softie
This is a fun take on a softie. Make a keyboard and a drum and you’ve got a whole band!
Balance Board
A bit of fun and a bit of exercise this is one of those toys where kids are learning lots of skills without even realising it. The options for decoration are endless too!
Back Pack
I love how fun and bright this is, but even if you’re not interested in making a backpack, this is worth checking out just to watch the amazing animated tutorial.
Etch-a-Sketch iPad Cover
What’s not to love about this iPad cover?!
Pillow Fight Shield Cushion
This cushion gives you plenty of options to play with fabric ranges or colours and to personalise it if you want. I love that it doubles up as a shield for play time.
Wallet
Because every boy needs somewhere to keep his pocket money.
No Sew Super Hero Cape
All boys love to be super heroes. This cape is nice and quick and you don’t need a sewing machine!
Toy Storage Bags
Any kind of gift that can help kids keep their room neat is a pretty clever idea to me! These storage bags are great for using up that kids novelty fabric you bought that you’ve now decided is too crazy for anything else and the clear window makes it easy to see what’s inside.
Bath Robe
Keep your boys snuggly and warm in this sweet little bath robe.
Floor Cushion
I’ve made one of these (see here) and Roman loves sitting on it to read books. It’s the perfect size for him to drag around and plonk down wherever he likes.
Tee Pee
Save your sheets and the kids quilts from being ruined by making them a Tee Pee to play in.
Monogrammed Tee
I love these larger than life monograms! They’re so bright and friendly but somehow minimalist at the same time…very cool!
Personalised Guess Who Game
Guess Who gets a whole lot more fun when your friends and family are involved!
Kids Skinny Tie
Little guy in a skinny tie = Maximum cuteness! This tie does up with velcro at the back so it’s easy to get on and off which is a bonus.
Skateboard Sling
This is perfect for boys that are into skateboarding!
Pool Noodle Light Sabers
These play light sabers are a quick little DIY that would be heaps of fun to have at a kids party.
Personalised Alphabet Book
Roman loves letters and anything to do with the alphabet and I think he would go crazy for a personalised version of the alphabet. I think I would have lots of fun making it too!
Dinosaur Tails
I’ve made one of these for Roman (see here) and it’s his favourite dress up. Who doesn’t loving stomping around and roaring like a dinosaur?!
And now it’s your turn! New to link parties? No worries, here’s what you have to do:
– Find a post on your blog that you want to link up. It can be anything you think would make great handmade gifts for boys.
– Link directly to the post, not your blogs home page. The link should look something like this: http://(your blog address/website)/(the post you want to link).html
– Then click below where it says “click here to enter” and follow the steps to link your post and create a title, and select your picture.
– Use the name of your recipe/idea for the title.
– Keep in mind the picture will be small thumbnail so pick a picture that shows it off the best.
– I would love it if you added my button to your page or post, or where ever you store your link ups. You don’t have to use the button to link up, it’s just there if you want it.
– Take a look around at the other link ups and share some commenting love!

I love this! And I noticed in the post that you said “Roman….” That’s my son’s name and I don’t think I’ve ever heard of anyone else with it. Great minds…!
abby says
that’s cool! I don’t know any other Romans either. It was my hubby’s great grandfather’s name.

Hi. I have to give a gift to a boy in 4th & I want to make it so what will be the thing for him which can be made by me in my home?
Abby Rudakov says
Hopefully something in the list suits…my 10yo loves his Nintendo Switch, so a case for that would be cool. And he likes to write so he would love a pencil case.
