It feels like ages since I did some fun sewing for myself and boy did I have fun with this! The pattern I’ve used from the Sew Fab Bundle is the Leather Accent Fold Over Pouch from LBG Studio. I know, I know, where are the leather accents?! I specifcally chose these fabrics to work with the red PU leather I had, but when it got to putting them on, I thought the fabric had so much going on that it would look too busy. I’m still not sure if I made the right decision. I suppose I could unpick it and add them.
In any case, the pattern is nice and detailed and I love the zip instructions. It gives you such perfect corners on the pouch! There’s also a lot of detail on the kinds of fabrics to use to give you a nice and substantial pouch.
For my outer fabrics I used Little Kukla by Suzy Ultman and Walk in the Woods By Aneela Hoey. They have both been in my stash for a while and they go so well together. The zip came from a handbag I picked apart. The zip is quite big and I think it makes the pouch look smaller than it is. It’s actually about 10.5″ wide.

thanks Vanessa! I still can’t decide whether I will change it or not. I love it like this, but still wonder if it would look better with the leather!

That’s really cute, I think it’s great without the leather. I was happy to see another of their bags, I made my 11 year old the clutch from the last bundle and I was so thrilled with it, had I not chosen to sew it with tween fabric I would’ve kept it for myself.

Thanks Melissa! I love the look of the clutch from the last bundle too! haha!

I agree – I don’t think it needs the leather. I LOVE that fabric – great choice!

thanks Natalie! The fabric is so great isn’t it? I bought it with no plan for it…so hard to decide what to do with it, but I love it on this bag.

maybe you’ll just have to make another so you’ll have one with and one without 😉

It’s lovely Abby. Lovely fabric. I’m glad to see it without the leather as I’m not sure I would be brave enough to try that so good to see alternatives!

Oh I love when that happens! There’s hope for all that fabric in my stash after all – haha 🙂
