As I said in my post for the Hudson Pants, this is my most favourite Perfect Pattern Parcel! I haven’t taken off the pants and skirt since I made them. There’s only about 18 hours to go until the parcel deal ends, so head on over and pick yours up now.
This skirt is soooooo comfy! It looks nice and polished but seriously feels like you’re walking around in PJs! Such a win for me. A bit of style and a lot of comfort. The waistband feels lovely and secure and the skirt stays right where it is. In the ‘interesting’ photo above, Roman is holding a drawing of a rainbow, a train and me wearing the skirt apparently. He wanted me to show you all.
The Ladies Pattern Parcel collection includes: Syrah Skirt by Lauren Dahl, Bronte Top by Jennifer Lauren, Julia Cardigan by Mouse House Creations, Hudson Pant by True Bias, Zsalya Dress by Kate and Rose. Choose to pay $32 or higher for the parcel and you also get the bonus pattern, the Odette Dress by Bluegingerdoll.
About Pattern Parcel:
Here at Perfect Pattern Parcel, we believe in supporting independent pattern designers. It’s our opinion that indie patterns are just, well, better than big box patterns, and we’re pretty sure our customers think so too. So, we allow customers to show their support in naming their own price for each Parcel. We also encourage customers to allocate part of their Parcel price to the charity Donorschoose.org in order to help classrooms in need. Pattern Parcel donates all profits after expenses from Parcel sales to the charity as well. Together we’ve raised $12,000 for classrooms in need.
We have this ladder in our backyard at the moment. I’m thinking of propping it against the fence with some plants on it. In the meantime, we thought it would make a fun prop for some photos. Do I look totally stressed that I am going to fall off at any second? And did you notice I had a haircut too? It’s soooo much shorter than it was and about one of the shortest haircuts I’ve ever had. I’m still getting used to it, but I think it will be perfect for summer.
My skirt is made from a stretch cotton jersey. It’s fairly thick and the skirt feels heavy when I hold it in my hand, but I don’t notice the weight when I’m wearing it. I didn’t line the skirt, just the waistband and I’m happy with the result. You should make one too!

Gorgeous skirt Abby. I love skirts in summer. What are the shorts Roman’s wearing, mummy made? So cute.

Thanks Toni-Maree! Yes, they are so perfect for summer. I made the shorts in the winter wonderland tour – https://www.thingsforboys.com/2013/11/winter-wonderland-pattern-tour.html Amazing to see how much shorter they are on him a year later.
