I have already professed my love for this pattern and was excited to make another. The Noodlehead Divided Basket is so handy and easy to make. I made this one specifically for storing patterns. I had a bit of fabric left over from making this Big Tote Bag and knew it would be perfect for this project. To fit all of my stash, I think I need to make a couple more.
The Divided Basket perfectly holds two stacks of paper patterns. I used a cotton drill and a duck cloth to make this one. I made the handles using some scraps, but they are a little short…my fault, not the patterns. I thought they’d be fine, but I’ll know better for next time. I don’t use the handles a lot, so I’m not too worried. I love the double stitching around the top edges, it gives a great finish. You can pick up a copy of the pattern here on Anna’s gorgeous blog. Take a look around while you’re there.
If you aren’t familiar with Anna’s patterns, then you should get to know them. Her open wide zipper pouch tutorial is pretty much the only one I use to make pouches these days. The zipper instructions are great and you get such an amazing result. I’ve made at least 10 of them. Are you a Noodlehead fan too?

It’s a cotton drill from Spotlight. Not sure that it has a name. They have a few styles with fashion drawings and paper patterns on them.

What a fun way to use that fabric and display your patterns. I bought this pattern last year, hoping to actually make one this year.
